Would you like to decrease your dependency on glasses or contact lenses? This is now an option with the use of premium lifestyle lens implants. Individuals suffering from cataracts previously had only a monofocal lens implant option after surgery. NEW multifocal IOL technology provides multiple ranges of vision: near, intermediate and far, giving you the opportunity to reduce or even eliminate your dependency on glasses!

Did you know there is now advanced testing available for diagnosing macular degeneration? Macular Risk® is a DNA test that identifies genetic markers associated with Macular Degeneration. By analyzing these genetic markers along with smoking history, we can identify who needs more frequent eye examinations and who may benefit from eye vitamins.

Softec ™ HD is a monofocal lens implant with a single focal point and aspheric optic, designed to correct cataracts and provide distance vision while offering enhanced image quality. To provide Most Accurate Cataract Surgery (MACS), this lens has more precise lens power increments (0.25 vs. 0.50 D) and tighter tolerances to lens powers (0.125 D vs. 0.400 D). MACS using Softec ™ HD is up to three times more precise than other monofocal cataract replacement lenses allowing for a more precise selection of the IOL prescription for your unique eyes. This is often the best option for the individual who does not mind wearing glasses following cataract surgery for all intermediate and near tasks, but is interested in using a high quality lens with very precise and accurate lens powers. We can anticipatet good distance vision post-op in patients without astigmatism or other ocular pathology. You will still require glasses for close up or intermediate vision. Included in the MACS package to determine your unique lens power are added measurements to determine and confirm the ideal IOL power for your eye. Post-op refraction is included in this package.
